Posing 101 Workshop | Cary, North Carolina Photographer

In this workshop, I show attendees the fundamentals of what I have learned over time, that has helped me become more confident when posing subjects.  It’s a very easy principle to learn and remember.  These basic do’s and don’ts help shape the attendee's posing foundation; it certainly did for me and I demonstrate this to the the attendee.

Donald James is a photographer from Virginia.  He found me through our YouTube channel and he reached out with interest in the Posing 101 workshop.  I am always humbled when a photographer expresses interest in learning from me one-on-one and I take that responsibility very seriously.  I have taught and inspired thousands of photographers through a combination of in-person and YouTube channel tutorials globally.

As soon as Donald and I, greeted each other we immediately began to engage in dialogue.  I spoke a little a bit about my background, how I got in to photography and my inspiration.  He talked about his retirement and the fact that he never worked with a model before, but only works with clients.  While we were talking, I noticed about 15 mins has passed and Donald's car door was still open, which meant from the point we met, we immediately connected.

Donald, thank you for traveling from Virginia to attend my workshop. I certainly hope you were able to take-away points from the Posing 101 Workshop that you will be able to incorporate into your shooting style.  In addition, continue to practice and grow your craft.

Ashley Denton, what can I say about this young lady that I have not said before?  Professional, willing to do whatever she can for the end product, and a wonderful personality.  I mentioned to Ashley that I will be spending a great deal of time in NY in the coming months and she said to me "if you need a model, I will drive to NY!".  Let's just say this, any model willing to drive over 500 miles just to shoot with me, well they are on the top of my list.  Ashley, as always you did an awesome job representing yourself and our brand.  Both Wayne and I absolutely appreciate all that you do for us and we are thoroughly grateful that we have met you.

Mario Guzman, former student and now friend, came out to help with this workshop.  As always Mario is never shy to do what he needs to do to assist.  This is one guy that I have met who hasn't changed from day one, he has always been genuinely helpful.  Mario thank you very much for all your help.

Wayne, the man behind the scenes, behind the camera.  Facebook has just reminded me that it's been three years that we have know each other, seems a lot longer.  Hard work pays off but the grind doesn't stop and you certainly get that, which is why I'm pleased to call you my friend and business partner.  That said, you need get from behind the camera LOL.
